English 390-01, 80 Modern European Literature

Welcome to Modern European Literature, ENG 390.

Course Description:
Selected modern literature in translation. Includes short novels representative of the major European countries, a collection of contemporary European poetry, and
plays in the Theatre of the Absurd tradition. Requirements include original critical papers with opportunity to rewrite. Prerequisite: ENG 220. Counts as a literature
elective numbered above 300 in all BA English majors and in the BSE English major.
