I am pleased to announce my retirement effective August 1, 2018.

I have been teaching in the Department of English and Modern Language for the last several years, returning to teaching after serving the University in the role of Special Assistant to the President (2000-2009) and, briefly, as Assistant Provost, Plans and Programs. In these roles, I managed strategic planning, institutional accreditation, and served as the liaison to the Department of Higher Education.

Reading the Bible as Literature: An Introduction has been published by Polity Press. http://www.polity.co.uk/book.asp?ref=9780745635088 . I have had the opportunity to teach using this textbook--generally with successful outcomes--in both traditional and online teaching environments.
