Fulfillment of Old Testament Prophecy In
his personal life, Jesus embodies fulfillment of the Old Testament in his
actions. Luke 24.27 Beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures. Mark 14.49 Let the scriptures be fulfilled. Is this man crazy, a complete lunatic? David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jonah, Israel itself, all of these are gathering themselves in His actions! Jesus is Himself God-manifest. Moreover, this presence of God in Jesus effaces the boundaries of space and time: John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Eternity is now. God’s will is being perfectly done in me, Jesus. David himself called me Lord. You can do it, too, bring about God’s kingdom. Deuteronomy 6.5 is fulfilled. Mark 12.30, 31 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength…love your neighbor as yourself. The world was created for you; possess it now. Daniel 9:22 I have now come out to give you wisdom and understanding… I have come to declare it, for you are greatly beloved. So consider the word and understand the vision. Father
in heaven, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. Matthew 4:17 Repent for the kingdom of God has come. |
